2 Streets Of Canada Named After AR Rahman To Honor Music Director, Deets Inside!!

AR Rahman don’t need any introduction in today’s world. He is the king of music industry and most reputed and famous music director. AR Rahman is film composer, record producer, singer and song writer. He is famous loved by people not only in India but all over the world. And now to honor music director AR Rahman, Canada government has decided to change the name of its two streets. It has been decided to name a street in Canada after AR Rahman. According to the information received, a street in the Canadian city of Markham has been renamed as AR Rahman street. Significantly, in the year 2013, another road in Markham in Canada itself, was named after musician AR Rahman as Allah-Rakha Rahman St.

While giving the information about this honorary gift to him by the Canadian government, AR Rahman himself has shared the post on his official social media account. The music director shared photos with the Mayor of Markham. While expressing his happiness he wrote, “Grateful for this honor bestowed by the City of Markham, Frank Scarpitti and the people of Canada”.

In the year 2010, AR Rahman was awarded with third highest civilian award of the nation, Padam Bhushan for his contribution to the music industry. Apart from this he is two times winner and five times nominated for the Oscar Academy Award and he also won Gammy Awards.
