Aaliyah Kashyap Calls Anant And Radhika’s Wedding A ‘Circus’, Revealed, ‘I Didn’t Attend For Self-Respect’

Film director Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aliyah Kashyap has claimed that she was invited to some functions of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding but she decided not to attend due to ‘self-respect’. On Instagram, 23-year-old Aliyah Kashyap compared the wedding to a ‘circus’ and claimed that the Ambani family had invited some people to this pre-wedding ceremony for PR.

Anant Ambani is the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. The Ambani’s son will marry Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant, on July 12 in Mumbai. The Ambani family has already held two pre-wedding events, both of which lasted three days. The first was held in Jamnagar, which was attended by people like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, while the second party was held on a cruise.

Now between July 12 and July 14, Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding rituals are happening. After the sangeet night, there was a haldi ceremony, in which many Bollywood celebrities performed. The list of guests invited was long which also included family and friends. But Aliyah Kashyap said that she has decided not to attend the events to which she was invited. Aliyah Kashyap wrote on the broadcast channel ‘Gup Shup with Kashyap’, ‘At this time Ambani’s wedding has become a circus, not a wedding.’

She said, ‘I was invited to some events because apparently, they were doing PR (???? don’t ask me why) but I refused because I wanted to believe that I have a little more self-respect than selling myself for someone’s wedding.’ She further wrote that people have a lot of money, so they do not understand what to do with it. She also wrote that she is keeping an eye on every news related to the wedding on social media.
