In an interview, Aditi Rao Hydari described her excitement upon learning that she would be part of Bejoy Nambiar’s “Wazir” alongside Amitabh Bachchan. She never imagined she would get the chance to work with the iconic actor.
She emphasized how incredible the experience was, noting that when Amitabh Bachchan enters a room, one naturally feels compelled to stand in his presence..
Aditi observed that Amitabh Bachchan never took breaks in his van while on set. She recalled an emotional moment during a scene where he was delivering a long dialogue. As she listened to his lines, tears welled up in her eyes simply from witnessing his performance.
She further explained, “When it was my turn to be filmed, I had assumed that being an experienced actor, someone else would cue me or he would do it in a straightforward manner.
She Expressed: It was foolish of me to think so because he is a true artist and loves what he does. He performed the scene for me with the same full-hearted emotion and dedication as he did for himself.
This moved me to tears again, and I said, ‘This is so incredible.’ Despite working for so many years, he remains enthusiastic and willing to help his younger co-actors. He was very generous and kind.”
Aditi Rao Hydari was not only excited to work with Amitabh Bachchan in “Wazir,” but she was also thrilled to collaborate with the renowned Bollywood producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who produced the film.
Aditi shared, “Chopra saw my screen test and said, ‘I like this girl.’ I don’t think he even watched my entire screen test. He saw a little bit and then said, ‘We want Aditi in the film.’”
