Aishwarya Gave A Big Statement On Bollywood Vs South; Said, “We Must Consider The Audience’s Choices”
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai will soon be seen in the film Ponniyin Selvan-1. With this film, the actress is returning to the big screen after four years. At present, she is busy promoting it vigorously. Recently, during the promotion of the film, when he was asked about Bollywood vs South films, he openly spoke on this issue.
The actress said that right now is a wonderful time for Indian cinema as audiences want to watch films from every corner. Several South Indian movies like RRR, Pushpa: The Rise and KGF Chapter 2 have become pan India hits in recent times. Aishwarya said that this clearly shows that people are liking cinema across the country.
Aishwarya said that the language barrier between the Indian film industry is now breaking down and films from everywhere are now available to everyone to watch. Several non-Hindi films have proved to be box office hits across India in the past few months. In recent months, the number of Hindi films that emerged as hits was less as compared to non-Hindi films. Movies like Jr NTR, SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn were made in Telugu, and dubbed and released in other languages.
She further said that I think instead of thinking traditionally, now we have to think differently according to the choice of the audience. Apart from Aishwarya, Chiyan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jairam Ravi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Shobhita Dhulipala are going to be seen in Ponniyin Selvan. It is directed by Mani Ratnam. The film is all set to release on 30th September. It competes with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s film Vikram Vedha. Before this, Aishwarya last appeared on the big screen in the 2018 film Fanney Khan. Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao played the lead roles with him in this film. However this film was a flop.
