Akshay Kumar Responds To R Madhavan’s Indirect Dig At His 40-Day Shoot Schedule; Checkout!
Not a long time ago, actor R Madhavan, who is gearing up for the release of his next film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, took a sly dig at the actors who complete their films in 40-45 days. Though he did not name anyone in particular, many of the people present assumed it was aimed at Akshay Kumar. Now, Akshay Kumar, in his recent public appearance has responded to the same. When the actor reached to launch a song from his upcoming family drama Raksha Bandhan, he was asked to react to R Madhavan’s indirect dig at his fixed professional commitment of 40-45 days shoot schedule.
The actor in his reply said that when his shoot gets completed in the period of 40-45 days, he cannot go and fight with the director to shoot more. “Kya kehna chaunga… bhai meri filmein khatam ho jaati hai. Ek director aata hai aur woh kehta ha ki aapka kaam khatam, toh mein kya abhi jhagda karu uske saath,” he quoted.
Director Aanand L Rai, who was also present alongside Akshay jumped in to support the actor and said, “In hone logo ko behkaya hai yeh keh ki 40-45 days mein film complete ho jaati hai. But inke 80-90 din lag jaate hai.”
The chain of events began when When R Madhavan was talking at a recent press conference while promoting his upcoming film. He said that films take time. Giving reference of RRR and Pushpa, he said that these films have taken more than a year, and actors in these films submitted themselves completely to the projects. Furthermore, he added that the actors in the films he mentioned have given their time to films, and they didn’t finish in months. Netizens were quick to identify that Madhavan was actually taking an indirect dig at Khiladi Kumar’s recent revelation of his shoot schedule.
Akshay’s last release Samrat Prithviraj tanked at the box office. Due to this, Akshay was trolled left, right and center by netizens as they attributed the film’s failure to Kumar’s lack of dedication and short shooting schedule. Previously, Akshay had admitted that he completed Samrat Prithviraj in just 42 days. Now, the actor will grace the screens next on August 11 with Anand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan.
