Amit Sadh Reveals He Tried Contacting Sushant Singh Rajput Before His Death, ‘He Shut Himself And His Number Changed’
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput shocked the entire nation with the news of his death. Some of us are still not able to come to terms with it. The talented star left for his heavenly abode after allegedly committing suicide in 2020. And like many of us, Singh’s Kai Po Che co-star Amit Sadh too got deeply affected by his demise. In a latest chat with author Chetan Bhagat, Sadh revealed some unknown details of Singh’s death.
Recalling the time before Sushant’s death, Amit disclosed that he tried reaching him a few months before he left this world. He said that though he couldn’t get in touch with Sushant, he spoke to someone who knew him.
The 39-year-old actor stated, “I said mujhe uska number do, main koshish karunga, main jaake isse baat karta hun. We all were hearing things. And number hi nahi tha, he had shut himself completely according to that person. That person told me ki voh phone nahi utha raha, number change ho gaya hai but mere andar ek awaaz aayi thi ki kya hoga, gaali bakega, gussa hoga, chale jaate hain. Mujhe jab uss insan ne naa bola, maine bhi chase nahi kia. We all get busy.”
Talking about himself, Amit opened up on having suicidal thoughts. He said that he also tried taking his life four time in the past between the age of 16 and 18. He shared how Smriti Irani helped him change his mind set.
For the unversed, Kai Po Che was a screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller ‘3 Mistakes Of My Life’. It starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkummar Rao in leads.
Workwise, Amit Sadh was recently seen playing a cop Kabir Sawant in the psychological crime thriller show, Breathe: Into the Shadows 2. Next in line for him is Zee5’s Duranga 2 with Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami and Main with Seema Biswas, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Milind Gunaji.
