Amit Sadh Reveals He Wanted To Quit Acting After Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death, ‘Bada Tough Hai Ye Industry’
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput shocked the entire nation with the news of his death. Some of us are still not able to come to terms with it. The talented star left for his heavenly abode after allegedly committing suicide in 2020. And like many of us, Singh’s Kai Po Che co-star Amit Sadh too got deeply affected by his demise.
In a latest chat with author Chetan Bhagat, Sadh said that he was shaken to the core when the news of Sushant’s death due to suicide broke out. Talking about the same, the actor stated that when a person dies by suicide, it means there is complete darkness in his life. Calling it society’s fault and not not the person’s fault, Amit stated, “The people who were around that person are the ones who are at fault, because the person has become so hopeless at that point that he does not care about anything else.”
The 39-year-old actor revealed that even he considered quitting the acting industry after Sushant’s incident. “Chid gaya tha maine. Bada tough hai yeh industry,” he quoted. Though everything is fine now, Amit talked about going through a phase in life when he had suicidal thoughts.
Let us tell you that Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. Initially, Police tagged it as a case of suicide. But later on, investigation was done and currently, his death is looked at through various angles by Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate, and the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Meanwhile, Amit Sadh was recently seen playing a cop Kabir Sawant in the psychological crime thriller show, Breathe: Into the Shadows 2. Next in line for him is Zee5’s Duranga 2 with Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami and a film with Seema Biswas, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Milind Gunaji.
