Angad Bedi Dedicated His Recent Gold Medal To His Late Father Bishan Singh Bedi; ‘Honoring Him And His Legacy’
At the Open International Masters 2023 Athletics Championship which is held in Dubai recently, Angad Bedi won the gold medal in his international sports debut in the 400-metre race. He dedicated his victory to his late father Bishan Singh Bedi, who recently passed away on October 23. All this is the result of his pure hard work and unwavering dedication towards athletics.

Angad Bedi took Instagram to share this news. He wrote, “Didnt have the heart.. didnt have the courage.. Body wasnt willing.. Nor was the mind. But an external force from up above made me pull through.. not my best time.. Not my best form but some how we did it..This gold will always be my most special. Thank you Dad for being with me…I miss you Your son.”
While competing against well-trained athletes from around the globe, he completed the race in just 67 seconds. This is the fruit of his tremendous hard work and strong will to win. Well, it is not the result of a few days but the outcome of a year-long intensive training regimen. It is commendable that him being balancing his athletics and his thriving acting career simultaneously.
Angad further wrote in his post “This win is dedicated to my father, he always said that keep your head down and let your actions speak. I have always been deeply inspired by his wisdom. I did this race because that’s what my father would have wanted. It’s my way of honoring him and his legacy.”

Angad while remembering his father on his victory called him to be his guiding light. He further added “Sportsmanship is in my blood. And I want to do exactly what my father would have expected of me. I did this race, in honor of him and the values that he has instilled in me during his wonderful life. He will always be there with me, as my guiding light. I am also deeply grateful for the guidance and mentorship of Coach Miranda, whose expertise has been instrumental in my progress.”

At the work front, Angad is all set for his debut in southern film industry with the project named Hi Nanna. He will be sharing screen with actors Mrunal Thakur and Nani.
