Anurag Kashyap Talks About An Actor Whose Chef Charges 2 Lakhs Per Day For His “Healthy Meal”

Now recently, the director has expressed his displeasure over the rising costs of film sets and stressed the need to use resources wisely.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap spoke about the rising costs in an interview and without naming anyone, he revealed that an actor has a chef who cooks healthy food for him and charges Rs 2 lakh per day. Anurag said, “Someone has a chef who charges Rs 2 lakh per day to cook healthy food. Yeh dekh ke lagta tha ye khaana hai? Yeh toh chidiya ka khana hai?” He further pointed out with his hands how small a quantity of food the chef cooks, he said, “I saw itna chota sa aata tha, use dekh aisa lagta hai this feed is made for birds.”

Anurag further explained that the actors used to do this because they had health problems and they needed it. He told the director, “This is all I eat. I have a lot of allergies.” This is not the first time Anurag has hit back at the arbitrary demands of actors. In an old interview, he talked about a star for whom a special hamburger was ordered from a city hours away from the shooting location.
