‘Colonial Hangover’: Jr NTR, Ram Charan Trolled For Interacting In ‘Fake Accent’ At Golden Globes 2023!
South Indian film RRR is truly a masterpiece. After winning accolades in its own country, the movie is winning big on global platforms. It has made the nation proud by winning a Golden Globe Award for Original Song on Wednesday. RRR stars Ram Charan Teja and Jr NTR along with filmmaker SS Rajamouli and veteran music director MM Keeravaani attended the ceremony in California. Several photos and videos from the grand event are doing rounds online.
In two of the viral clips, Jr NTR and Ram Charan can be seen talking to the host at red carpet. Jr NTR said that though he had an idea of coming out as a winner after working with Rajamouli, he was surprised with the amount of love RRR has received. On the other hand, Ram Charan talked about how surreal it is to come from India to the mecca of films. He stated that such kind of appreciation gives them energy to work harder.

However, as soon as the videos surfaced on internet, netizens started trolling the actors for their non-desi accent. A user wrote, “Dono ne ek hi english speaking course kiya lagata.”
Another tweeted, “Both actors seem to have trained hard to speak with an accent for this event 😆.”
A third one stated, “NTR unleashing his inner Anil Kapoor.”
A netizen claimed, “Lol it sounds like a weird mix of fake American and British accent.”
RRR has scripted history after its track Naatu Naatu won a Golden Globe award in the Best Original Song category. The trophy was received by Keeravaani who has composed the song in Telugu.
