Dharmendra’s Screen Test Was Rejected For Love In Shimla And Says ‘He Had To Wait A Decade To Work With Sadhana.’

Recently Legendary Bollywood Actor Dharmendra has shared a throwback picture of him with Sadhana on his Instagram account. He captioned, “Ishq par zor nahin.” on his post. The Legendary Actor Dharmendra’s social media handles are a treasure trove of the Golden Age of cinema. The actor often shares unknown facts about his career in the film industry or drops some truth bombs now and then. On Monday, Dharmendra revealed about the one time his screen test was rejected.

The actor Dharmendra has posted a picture with actress Sadhana and talked about how he missed a chance to work with Sadhana in Love in Shimla but later, went on feature with her in Ishq Par Zor Nahin. Actress Sadhana, an outstanding artist, a wonderful human being. I was given a screen test to work with her in Love In Simla but rejected. Peete Peete Iss Maikhane Mein… Jaam Badal Jaate Hain,” Dharmendra wrote. After Dharmendra was rejected, Love In Simla was made with Joy Mukherjee and Sadhana in lead. This is not the first time when Dharmendra recalled Sadhana. Dharmendra in May posted another picture of himself with Sadhana and expressed his regret that he featured only in one film with her.

Early this month, the legendary actor tweeted a funny scene from 1984 superhit Insaaf Kaun Karega in which he starred alongside Rajinikanth. Dharmendra, in his tweet, wrote, “Rajini is a darling friend. A great actor….A funny scene with him…..hope you will enjoy it.”

Rajinikanth and Dharmendra have also shared screen space in Anil Sharma’s 1991 ensemble film, Farishtay.

Dharam Singh Deol is known mononymously as Dharmendra, is an Indian actor, producer, and politician who is best known for his work in Hindi films. He is also known as the “He-Man” of Indian cinema. In the mid-seventies, he was also voted among the top 10 most handsome men in the world. In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Hindi cinema. In 2005, the judges of the 50th annual Filmfare Awards awarded Sholay the special distinction of Filmfare Best Film of 50 years.
