After Tabu, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has joined the cast of Rohit Shetty’s fourth installment of hit comedy franchise “Golmaal”. “I have been an ardent fan of Rohit’s depiction of comedy and I was always keen to explore this genre.

‘Golmaal Again’ will be my debut attempt at comedy meets intense which is extremely challenging to essay because you have to be comical and intense at the same time,” Neil said in a statement. About his character, the actor said: “My character of sophisticated corporate tycoon is very layered and beautifully lends to the overall plot. It’s always very exhilarating to be a part of an ensemble cast (cast stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade.) of this stature. I will commence shooting for the film post my nuptials.” Neil will get married to Rukmini Sahay in Udaipur with celebrations held between February 7-9..Besides Golmaal Again , Neil will also be seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Indu Sarkar” and a multi-lingual film opposite Prabhas.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has played a bootlegger-turned-MLA in “Raees”, does not want to associate with politics in his life. “I love acting only. I don’t know anything or have any interest in politics.” Shah Rukh said at the recent success party of “Raees”. About ‘his above latest film’, the actor said: “Every film has its own place, own business. So it is weird to evaluate one film’s business with another (Kaabil) on the same criterion.” Having said that, we knew we would have a limited business. At this point of time, we are little beyond that also. The film has done fair business than what we expected. “Asked about comparison with last year’s big hits “Sultan” and “Dangal”, the “Dilwale” star said, “It is nice to know everything is going well. If we start comparing, then sky is the limit. Why should we compare only the last big hits like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Sultan’ which are much bigger hits than perhaps this film can ever be?” Therefore, that comparison from outside very is good but from inside we know the truth. ‘Raees’ has a limit and we are happy if the film reaches that.” Directed by Rahul Dholakia, “Raees” also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqu.

Aactor Ranveer Singh has expressed disapproval of the attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the set of their film “Padmavati” in Jaipur. He says the ace filmmaker cannot do anything that can hurt someone’s feelings. Activists of a Rajput organisation, Shree Rajput Karni Sena, attacked Bhansali on Friday. The activists slapped him, tore up his shirt and manhandled him.”As a team, we are making ‘Padmavati’ keeping in mind the sensitivities and emotions of the people of Rajasthan and the Rajput community,” Ranveer posted on Twitter on Saturday. “Sanjay sir is one of the most accomplished and authentic filmmakers we have in India, and won’t ever do anything to hurt anyone’s feelings.” What happened is very unfortunate. We hope the people of Rajasthan will understand and empathise with our intentions and end us their support, “he added. Ranveer’s co-star Shahid Kapoor also took to the micro-blogging site to condemn the attack.” Very very sad. words do fall short and feel too little to express feelings. Violence is unacceptable. This incident has shocked me. We need to look deep within as a society, as a country, as people…where are we headed, Shahid tweeted.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who is often compared with actress Priyanka Chopra, feels there is no need to compare the two as both are trying to achieve “very different things” for themselves. Deepika, who returned on Friday after promoting her Hollywood debut film “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”, said, “We both are in very different worlds trying to achieve very different things for ourselves.” “After making her debut in the popular American series “Quantico”, Priyanka is now gearing up for her Hollywood project “Baywatch”. Directed by Seth Gordon, the film also features Dwayne Johnson. Asked about the response to “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”, Deepika said, “Amazing, we received an extremely overwhelming response for our film and my performance.” The Bollywood star, who has been shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus “Padmavati”, also shared her schedule for the film and her upcoming projects. “I think there will be an outdoor shoot for the film. Besides that, I have some endorsement commitments. I am going straight back to my work now,” she said. The period drama also features Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

Actor Vidyut Jammwal, who has mostly featured in heavy-duty action roles, does not mind the ‘action hero’ tag, but dethroning Akshay Kumar from the action king title is not his goal. “No never… It is a very wrong thing to ask that. I will establish (my own space)… And he (Akshay) would also do what he is good at”. “I would love to be known as an action hero. I don’t mind to be categorised as an action hero. In fact, I enjoy doing that,” he added at the recent trailer launch of “Commando 2″ here on Monday. The 36-year-old actor considers himself a combination of action heroes like John Abraham and Tiger Shroff. “The most amazing thing about John is that he has a huge physique, while Tiger is lean. A huge physique can’t be flexible. I am a combination of both. But if you ask me who really inspires me? Then, for me, it’s not anybody” Today, it is the YouTube generation and there are so many people who do amazing stunts. I get inspired by those people.”The “Force” actor also said “Commando 2″ is going to be different.” I don’t think as an ordinary action guy. In my opinion, what (action) you see in Indian cinema, is mediocre. When we did ‘Commando’, there were no cables, no stunt double. So in this film, we thought of doing something that is beyond my imagination. We were competing ourselves and I feel we’ve done much better in this movie.”

Iconic actor and filmmaker Jackie Chan, who was recently in Mumbai for promoting his upcoming Sino-Indian film “Kung Fu Yoga”. I would like to act in Bollywood films,” is there any director to hire me?” quipped Jackie Chan at the press conference here.”I do not want to do any action-comedy films. I am interested in doing romantic Indian films! You know 11 years ago, I tried to do a Bollywood film but that was so melodramatic and I could not fit into that. But now I think I can,” he added. Directed by Stanley Tong, the film “Kung Fu Yoga” also features Bollywood actors Amyra Dastur, Disha Patani along with Sonu, who is also the distributor of the film. Asked if he watched Bollywood cinema before this collaboration, Jackie said: “Honestly, as a kid though I used to watch Bollywood movies, neither I understood the language nor those dance music scenes. But I think in last 15 years, things have changed a lot. There is good technology, great fight sequences, actions and lot more. I think it is probably one of the best in the world.”
