A Glimmer of Hope

Tired I am

Of being helplessly pushed and pulled

Through the vagaries of time

The strings of life

Not in my control

And I powerlessly watch

The sorrows come and go

On dark nights

In an abyss of pain, they drown me,

And I hopelessly slither to come out,

Not succeeding in my endeavours.

I slouch in endless pain

Defenceless blood oozes out

Yet, expressionless remains life.

In fast-moving lanes of time

I’ve heard that sorrows, an oasis create

Through which radiating light enters –

And I await my turn

For my soul to glimmer.
