We all have seen Sonakshi Sinha’s photographs on Internet, of those times when she had no plans to enter Bollywood and was one chubby fat girl. She weighed more than 90 kgs before making mark in the Bollywood. It was only Salman Khan, the lead actor of her debut film (Dabangg) who motivated her to shred off those extra kilos before Dabangg went on for shooting.
Even though her acting skills and looks were amazing, her voluptuous body structure didn’t match with the stereotypical well-toned actress figure. In an interview, Sona admitted to the fact that her weight loss journey was not easy at all and she hated hitting the gym.
But the diva remained determined and motivated to achieve slender body figure. She started training under Yasmin Karachiwala whom she had hired as personal fitness trainer. Her daily workout routine mix of cardio, functional training, intense weight training, spinning and hot yoga so as to shred the extra flab and strengthen the muscles.
And here’s is the diet chart that she follows!
- Breakfast: Cereal, milk, whole wheat toast
- Mid-morning: 1 cup green tea, some dry fruits
- Lunch: Home-cooked food including vegetables, chapatti, salad
- Eveningsnacks: One fruit, some diet biscuits, 1 cup green tea
- Dinner: Fish or egg whites, chicken, daal, veggies
Sona is a big time foodie and relishes junk food like anything. But instead of abandoning her favourite junk food items, she consumes them in lesser amount. Also, she takes small meals in every 2-3 hours that keeps her metabolism rate up throughout the day. She also drinks green tea twice or thrice in a day. To support her intense workout routine, she was kept on high-protein and low-carbs diet by her trainer.
But do not simply copy this diet if you wish to lose weight. It is always suggested to consult a fitness trainer for the body demands vary from person to person.
