The hub of MNC’S and technology is now getting famous as the crime city because of the increased crimes against women, especially rapes.
The condition is getting so worse day by day that in every 7 days we hear news regarding women’s exploitation from Gurugram, formerly called as Gurgaon. Even after tight security, a yet another horrific gang rape case has been reported in the city.
A 35 year old woman was gang raped by three men in the car on Monday night. It was earlier reported the woman was abducted from Sohna but Noida Police later said that she was picked near Gurgaon’s MG Road metro station and taken to Greater Noida.
Woman is a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan who had came to Sohna with her family about 10-15 days ago for work. On Monday night, she was going back to her residence in Sohna when she was pulled into a car by the men and assaulted for nearly eight hours.
She said the men took turns to rape her in the moving car and after driving through Delhi, they reached Greater Noida where they threw her out in a dark spot before escaping.
The victim recorded her statement in the presence of a woman lawyer. Also Gurgaon police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar, deputy commissioner of police (Crime) Sumit Kuhar, and DCP (East) Deepak Saharan were present at the Sector 29 police station at that time.
Suniti, Noida superintendent of police (rural), said “The victim has claimed that she was picked up at around 8.30pm on Monday in Gurgaon. She was allegedly raped in the car while the accused were driving around.” According to an official, they got the information about the incident at 3am. Without wasting a second they took the woman who was crying in front of Yatharth Hospital under the jurisdiction of Kasna police station, to a hospital for medical examination.
This disheartening incident is a shameful incident for all of us. One side we all believe in woman empowerment and on the other side hearing this kind of news is a big question on woman safety.
Being a responsible citizen we should help the victim to get justice and should awaken the government and ask to take some severe steps regarding this.
