FM Channel’s Bauua Walked Towards The Fields, RJ Raunak Found Interesting Stories In The Success Of Farmers.
Bauua is one of the few names who became famous from house to house through FM radio channels. It is so famous that when Shahrukh Khan made the film ‘Zero’, he kept his name in it. On the radio, this character is played by Radio Jockey i.e. RJ Raunak. Calls unknown people, harass them, abuses them, but often manages to make the audience laugh. The bauua has now gone out to do big things. Few people would know that Bauua i.e. RJ Raunak is a pass out from Business School. He left a substantial job to become an RJ first and now he has gone out to do farming. It is said that one ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed his mind.
RJ Raunak
RJ Raunak started ‘Bharat is Best’ during the first lockdown. ‘Bharat is best’ is a campaign to influence the lives of the people around and its main motive is agriculture. According to Raunak, agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for about 58 percent of India’s population. Team ‘Bharat is Best’ (BIB) selected progressive and enterprising farmers from every nook and corner of the country and together shot videos which are broadcast every Sunday on Raunak’s social media channels.
RJ Raunak, speaking about the ‘India is the Best’ campaign, says, “BIB is our individual initiative. The stories we could learn from our country and which were highly inspiring, we shared these videos with other farmers and agribusinesses. Some farmers have succeeded in growing superfoods, some have succeeded with value addition in food processing. Some farmers have managed to break the export of agricultural products and some find both joy and wealth in organic and medicinal farming. Coming. So far we have displayed videos of 26 farmers from 11 states.”
RJ Raunak
Before ‘Bharat is Best’ last year, Raunak started the ‘Yeh Diwali, Kisan Wali’ campaign. In this, Team BIB bought raw material from farmers, made cookies from it, and sold them through online platforms. Several cookies were also distributed to the soldiers of the Indian Army. Another initiative called Mission Mushroom was also taken up during this period. Mushroom cultivation was encouraged in this initiative. According to the information, Raunak and team BIB have developed model farms in Kutch and Surat in Gujarat.
Says Raunak, “I want to develop more such model farms. I firmly believe in Mahatma Gandhi’s statement that one has to bring the change in himself which he wants to see in this world. I hope that more and more youth will come forward and our country will become self-reliant in the true sense.”
