‘Kashmir Files Ka Paisa,’ Vivek Agnihotri Trolled For Buying A House Instead Of Donating Money To Kashmiri Pandits!
Bollywood director Vivek Agnihotri gained huge amount of fame after making a film on sensitive topic of exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Post the success of The Kashmir Files, he is focusing on making relatively low-budget, subject-driven films with no A-listers. Besides this, Agnihotri is doing great on the personal front too. As per the reports, he and his wife, Pallavi Joshi have bought a new house in Mumbai. The luxurious apartment in Versova reportedly cost Rs. 17.92 crore. It is on the 30th floor and is spread over a 3,258 sq ft area. But a certain section on social media is upset with this news.
It so happened that during the run of The Kashmir Files on box office, Vivek pledged to donate the money earned from it for the welfare of Kashmiri Pandits. Now, as soon as report of him buying a new house surfaced, netizens started feeling cheated. They are saying that Vivek has bought this flat from the money he earned through film based on Kashmiri Pandits.
While some users are stating that The Tashkent Files maker should have donated that money to the needy Kashmiri pandits who are still living a miserable life instead of buying a new house, others are commenting that ‘Kashmiri Pandits ka paisa hai.’
