Naseeruddin Shah Taunts The Government For Hate Speech, Says- ‘Silence Means Silent Acceptance’

Now recently, Naseeruddin has expressed his opinion on hate speech, he has termed the silence of BJP government and PM Modi as tacit consent on this issue.

In a recent interview, Naseeruddin said, “The silence of the government on this issue is shocking and it is clearly a sign of tacit approval. This hatred is always there, it is always there in embryo, it is always there waiting to blossom.” , And finally it has happened. These things are beyond my understanding. It has all accumulated and exploded and the political system has very wisely and very cleverly used it to its advantage.”

Government Needs To Improve The Language

In this interview, Naseeruddin was also asked that he holds the Modi government directly responsible for hate speech. To this question, Naseeruddin said, “We will hang them upside down. This kind of language is absolutely shocking. I don’t think political dialogue in this country has been less than it is now. I hate genocide and ‘killing Muslims on sight’.” “I don’t take these crazy statements seriously at all.”

Further targeting PM Modi, Naseeruddin said, “He is a very clever man, the way he has created his image in front of the public, it is commendable. In this matter, he is not alone, but his army. There is also one who speaks the same language as them. The man who meditates in a cave, the man who does no harm to anyone, the man who talks of everyone’s development and everyone’s effort, but doesn’t mean a word.”
