Nushratt Bharuchha’s Janhit Mein Jaari Box Office Earns Only 20-30 Lakh Rupees On It’s First Day
Janhit Mein Jaari: Nushrratt Bharuchha’s film had a disappointing box office debut when it was released on Friday. In theaters, the film competed with Jurassic World Dominion. Janhit Mein Jaari, Nushratt Bharuchha’s latest release, appeared promising but did not receive the expected response at the box office on its first day. In the film, the actor plays a condom vendor. It also competed with the Hollywood film Jurassic World Dominion, which had a better opening at around 8 crores.
Jai Basantu Singh made his directorial debut with the film, which was written by Raaj Shaandilyaa of Dream Girl fame. According to a report on Bollywood Hungama, early estimates for the film’s opening day collections indicate that it opened at around 20-30 lakh. According to Indianexpress.com, the Janhit Mein Jaari team stated that the film was seen by approximately 50,000 viewers on the first day and that the film’s gross worldwide collection stands at 56.70 lakh.
According to the Hindustan Times, “Janhit Mein Jaari, the latest offering in Bollywood’s PSA-but-comedy genre, kicks off well, it’s not even funny.” It is, in fact, very much so. The first half of the film is so unexpectedly brilliant that it seems too good to be true. As a result, in the second half, they throw it off a steep, cliff in one of the most mass murders of a good movie seen in recent memory.”
In a statement about the film’s subject, director Jai Basantu Singh said, “In a country where condoms are still considered a taboo term, I had to be conscious to treat this subject delicately.” I was treading water. I didn’t want this film to be judgmental while also conveying a positive message. I didn’t want people to mock it, but I also wished to create this entertaining film. But things eventually fell into place, and I was able to work with the talented actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, who is the perfect fit for this role. The entire cast was equally supportive. I just want this film to be a family entertainer rather than a television commercial.
