In such a situation, she did not think that he was beautiful, because his skin tone was dark. Priyanka further said, when I was young, for a long time I felt that my skin was not beautiful because it was dark. I used to be a tomboy when I was in high school, I had many scars on my body. I had curly hair and I was not comfortable with all these things.”

Priyanka Chopra told that it is a common practice in Bollywood that one who has a fair complexion is beautiful. Stars also believe that the one whose complexion is clear is beautiful. Priyanka said that, “This concept came in the film industry through ad films and everyone in the film industry accepted it as true. Priyanka told that when she joined the industry, she was told that one has to have a certain body type to look good on screen.”

Priyanka said, “When I first entered the industry 20 years ago, we never talked about it. Actresses back then were expected to be slim, have a visible pelvic bone and It doesn’t matter how she gets there. But that’s what you should look like and what isn’t is not beautiful.” Priyanka further said that all this still happens, but behind closed doors.
