Riteish-Genelia’s Film ‘Mr Mummy’ In Trouble, Makers Accused Of Stealing Script
Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza are going to be seen together on the big screen once again with their film ‘Mr Mummy’. The trailer of this comedy drama film of both has been released, which is also getting a good response from the audience. Meanwhile, Akash Chatterjee, a Kolkata-based producer has alleged that the makers of ‘Mr Mummy’ stole the story and concept of his film. Akash has given this information by sharing the post on his social media account.
Akash Chatterjee is also the son of famous Bengali film director Agnidev Chatterjee. Akash Chatterjee has leveled plagiarism charges against the producer of ‘Mr Mummy’. Akash shared several screenshots on his Facebook account alleging that the story of ‘Mr Mummy’ directed by Shaad Ali has been copied from the script shared with the makers of the film.
Akash Chatterjee claimed that he had come up with the script of the film in 2019. The story of the film was about a young man who gets pregnant in a funny way. Akash shared this story with the makers of ‘Mr Mummy’ at that time and they were quite impressed with it. Akash titled his story ‘Vicky Pet Se’ and wanted to cast Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role.
However, after this no further initiative was taken by the manufacturer. Now, after watching the trailer of Riteish and Genelia-starrer ‘Mr Mummy’, he realizes that it is similar to the story he narrated three years ago and claims that the film’s story has been plagiarized.
Akash says he submitted the script of ‘Vicky Pet Se’ to the Screenplay Writers’ Association and is now contemplating legal action if needed. He has already spoken to his lawyer who incidentally co-wrote the script for Aakash. Akash also insisted that he does not want any money. He just wants to associate his name with ‘Mr Mummy’. Let us inform that Mr Mummy, directed by Shaad Ali, is going to hit the theaters on November 11.
