“The Little Mermaid” Teaser: Disney Unveils First Look Of Halle Bailey As Ariel- Checkout!
The first trailer for The Little Mermaid has arrived, revealing the first full look at Hailey Berry’s live-action Ariel and her stunning underwater adventure.
The Little Mermaid, based on the 1989 animated film of the same name, is one of the studio’s most recent live-action adaptations to hit theatres, following The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast.
Rob Marshall (Chicago) is directing the fantasy musical, which stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Javier Bardem as King Triton, and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess who longs to return to the surface world, eventually striking a deal with the evil Ursula to become human and win the heart of Prince Eric, which is short-lived as Ursula attempts to woo Eric for herself using Ariel’s voice.
Disney has now released the first trailer for The Little Mermaid, which includes the first full look at Berry as the live-action Ariel amidst the underwater landscape, as well as a brief tease of the song “Part of Your World.” The trailer debuted at D23, and the entire scene of Berry singing the song was shown.
Berry also stated that the sequence and song for “Part of Your World” in the live-action adaptation, which appeared to be the most notable presentation at D23 for Disney’s line-up, took three days to film.

The Little Mermaid is a long-standing favourite of Disney’s animated library that has remained popular from generation to generation. Berry’s casting sparked some racial backlash at first, but the actress has proven to be a perfect fit for this new take on the classic tale, particularly with her vocal chops.
The hype for The Little Mermaid, which is sure to be one of the bigger films at the box office when it debuts on May 26, 2023, is already bubbling to the surface with just a little tease.
