The New Chairperson Of MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, Priyanka Chopra Adds Another Feather To Her Achievement Cap
Actress Priyanka Chopra has taken over the position of chairperson in the MAMI (Mumbai Academy Of The Moving Image) Mumbai Film festival.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is an Indian actress, singer, and film producer. She has made herself an established actor in both Bollywood and Hollywood. She is also the founder of the production company Purple Pebble Pictures and she has produced several regional Indian films. In 2021 she published her memoir, Unfinished which reached the New York Times bestseller list.
Priyanka Chopra shared the update about her new role as a chairperson with her fans and followers on Instagram.
She said, “If the goal is to create a platform to showcase Indian cinema to the world then I am all in full stop and with the spirit, I am proud to be taking the role of chairperson of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film festival.” She further added “I have always believed that Indian cinema from across every part of the country has so much to offer to the world. It’s a mission that I had set for myself and one that is very close to my heart it was a key objective when I started my production company Purple Pebble Pictures”
The position was left back when Deepika Padukone stepped down as the chairperson from the film festival earlier this year. Priyanka also shared the details of the board members of the French festival and we and managing the festival this time.
She also revealed that this time the filter will be fixed monthly long run beginning from October 2021 instead of the usual one-week span. In the video, she talked more about the board members of the French festivals and how they are aiming to create something meaningful and impactful for the world of cinema. “A new chapter begins, we are stepping up and we are taking out with hope you are now open”.
