Mughal-e-Azam (1960): The film was based in the 16th-century Mughal court of Emperor Akbar’s heir to the throne, Prince Saleem played by Dilip Kumar, who falls in love with the beautiful commoner Anarkali. Saleem’s father, Emperor Akbar, refused to let him marry below his status and a mighty battle of wills ensues. The story revolves around Salim and Anarkali’s love and troubled relationship between father and son. Dilip played his role as Sali magnificently and the chemistry between him and Anaarkali, played by Madhubala was mesmerizing. Mughal-e-Azam is one of its kind of movies that tops the list of every film lover.
Ganga Jamuna (1961): Ganga Jamuna was the only movie which was produced by Dilip Kumar. It also showcases one of his most remarkable performances.
Ram Aur Shyam (1967): Before Ram and Shyam, Dilip was known for playing tragic roles. This was a gamechanger as Dilip impressed his fans by playing a comic role in this hit movie.
Shakti (1982): The film brought together two megastars. Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar shared screen space for the first time together in the film. It is one of the best works in cinema history.
Mashaal (1984): The story was about a common citizen played by Dilip, who takes his life to a criminal path for seeking revenge.
