’12th Fail’ actress Medha Shankar has been the focal point of headlines since the time her film came out. She became an overnight sensation after starring in the hit film. However, the journey of reaching this point of success was not easy for an outsider like Medha. In an interaction with Instant Bollywood, the actress opened up about the toughest phase of her life and how she dealt with it.
Medha Shankr talks about being completely broke in 2020
Recalling the most difficult period of her life which is the pandemic era of 2020, Medha Shankr said that she didn’t even have a penny in her bank account. This led to the worst time as it became nearly impossible for her to survive in an expensive city like Mumbai. The actress revealed that she made it through that phase only because of her father’s support.
Furthermore, Medha detailed how all her savings drained during the lockdown phase, and she went into a very fragile mental state. She faced several challenges and constantly doubted her abilities. Medha Shankar stated, “I was lonely. It’s scary because it’s so uncertain. Every single day you have to restart and then, obviously, there is self-doubt. 2020 was a very difficult year because the world was falling and at the same time, I was fully broke. I was living off my father’s money. The only reason I could actually survive in Mumbai financially was because I was living with my dad. If he wasn’t there, I don’t think I would have been able to survive in Mumbai financially.”
