In a proud moment for Lucknow University (LU), 243 postgraduate students have cleared the prestigious UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The results, recently announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA), highlight the university’s academic excellence and the hard work of its students.
The UGC-NET is considered one of the toughest postgraduate-level examinations in India. It serves as a gateway for aspiring candidates to pursue research fellowships and become eligible for assistant professorships in universities and colleges. Success in this examination also opens doors to several other career opportunities in academia and research.
LU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, congratulated the students for their exceptional performance, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the dedication of both the students and faculty.
According to the data received so far, a total of 243 students from various departments of the university have cleared the NET or JRF. Among the standout performers are Education Department students Raman Kanaujia, Saloni Patel, and Shivangi Pandey, each securing over the 99th percentile in the exam.
This success underscores the strong academic foundation at Lucknow University, inspiring future batches to aim for similar accomplishments in the coming years.
