Contra is all set to make a comeback with new and modern graphics. The game will be named Contra Returns and will be available on all mobile platforms. The game will still have its side-scrolling gameplay. It will be released for both iOS and Android users on July 26.

However, the game will only be playable in some regions. Regions that will be getting the game back include North America, Latin America, and Europe. Pre-registration for the same has already started for iOS and Android users living in these regions.

Contra was a game that was based on the distant future of the year 2633 A.D. It also got a sequel a year later and was known as ‘Super Contra’. It was the only contra sequel for the arcades developed in-house by Konami.
