Bollywood’s veteran actress Shabana Azmi is celebrating her 74th birthday today i.e. on September 18. Shabana, who has shown her acting skills in art and commercial films, has played every kind of role in her film career. She is counted among the best actresses in the cinema world. We must admit that she is also unmatched in women-oriented films.

Born on 8 September 1950 in Hyderabad, Shabana Azmi entered films at the age of just 23. Shabana studied at FTII and entered films with Shyam Benegal’s film Ankur and became a star overnight. She also received her first National Award for this film. After Ankur, Shabana Azmi never looked back and became the face of art films. After art, she also worked in commercial films and earned a lot of fame.

According to some of the media reports, she has worked in more than 160 films in a career spanning 60 years. Shabana, one of the best actresses in the country, talked about her craze for Shashi Kapoor. During an interview, Shabana said that she had been a fan of Shashi Kapoor since the age of 9. Her craze for Shashi was so strong that she used to save pocket money to buy his photos and used to get his autograph on the same photo.
