Sridevi Wanted To Work With Amar Singh Chamkila, But Singer Refused Since He Couldn’t Speak Hindi

In an old interview, Chamkila’s friend Sawarn Sivia told one of the media houses that when Sridevi Ji saw the singer perform, she was so impressed that she offered Amar Singh a film with her, but Amar Singh turned it down because of his own reasons.

According to media reports, he had said, “Sridevi was a fan of Amar Singh Chamkila. Sridevi even asked him to be the hero in her film. But Chamkila told her that he cannot speak in Hindi. The actress even offered to train him in a month, but Chamkila said that he would lose Rs 10 lakh during that time. Then Sridevi agreed to do a Punjabi film with him, but it could not happen.”
