Govinda’s Wife Sunita Ahuja Gives Quirky Suggestion: ‘If You Can’t Hold Your Man Close, Hit Him’
Bollywood veteran Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja continue to set couple goals despite their unconventional living arrangement. Sunita recently revealed that they reside in separate homes with their children, Tina and Yashvardhan, a statement that quickly went viral. However, she later clarified that their bond remains unbreakable, asserting, “Nobody can separate us.”
Stronger Than Ever
In an interview with Shirdi Today, Sunita emphasized the strength of her marriage with Govinda. She stated that despite living separately, they enjoy a close and fun relationship. Addressing speculation about discord, she affirmed, “With the blessings of Baba, nobody can break our home.”
Offering relationship advice, Sunita humorously compared men to cricket, saying they can be unpredictable but should be cared for. She added, “I have always held my man close, but if you can’t hold them, hit them,” injecting humor into her perspective on handling relationships.
Why They Live Separately
Earlier, speaking to Hindi Rush, Sunita explained the rationale behind their separate living arrangements. She revealed that they own two homes—her bungalow is located opposite their flat, where she resides with their children and maintains her temple. She cited Govinda’s professional commitments and late-night meetings as reasons for the arrangement.
Sunita also shed light on their differing personalities. While she prefers quiet and limits conversation to conserve energy, she noted that Govinda is more social. “He enjoys talking and even encourages unnecessary visitors to sit and chat,” she remarked. She also shared that Govinda often falls asleep at his office after staying up late, which clashes with her early morning routine.
37 Years of Marriage
Govinda and Sunita have been married for over 37 years, having tied the knot in 1987 when Govinda was still in the early stages of his Bollywood career. Their relationship, despite its evolving dynamics, continues to thrive, proving that unconventional arrangements do not necessarily weaken bonds.
Sunita’s candid revelations reaffirm that while they may not live under the same roof, their connection remains steadfast.
