YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as Beer Biceps, is facing mounting criticism following his controversial remarks on stand-up comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. His comments have sparked nationwide outrage, leading to multiple complaints from notable personalities. Now, Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali have weighed in on the controversy, calling him “immature” and emphasizing the need for young influencers to be more aware of their surroundings.
During an interview with Instant Bollywood, Imtiaz Ali addressed the issue, stating that those who seek popularity through shortcuts often experience short-lived success. “Mujhe lagta hai jisko jis cheez mein maza aata hai usko vahi karna chahiye aur ashleelta aisa subject hai ke obviously bura hai ye to koi bhi kahega but log immature hote hain to zyada seriously unki galtiyon ko lena bhi nai chahiye (I feel people should do what they enjoy doing, but obscenity is a subject that looks bad, and anyone would agree. However, people are immature, so their mistakes should not be taken too seriously),” he said.
Echoing similar sentiments, actor Manoj Bajpayee urged young influencers to be more conscious of their environment. “Isliye jo bhi log safal ho rahe hain, young hain, yuva hain humesha jo hai mahaul ko zara dekhein samjhe (People who are successful and young should appreciate and understand their environment),” he said, further advising them to stay informed by reading newspapers regularly. Imtiaz Ali also cited Bajpayee as an example of someone who achieved success through years of hard work, highlighting the difference between sustained achievement and fleeting fame.

The controversy erupted after Allahbadia asked a contestant on India’s Got Latent, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” The remarks triggered a severe backlash, prompting multiple official complaints. Following the outrage, Allahbadia issued a public apology via a video on social media.
Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has intervened in the matter, directing YouTube to take down the controversial episode.
