Bollywood actress Esha Deol is grabbing a lot of headlines after getting special mention in 69th National Awards for her film ‘Ek Duaa’. The actress is over the moon after this recognition. In a recent interview, Esha opened up on her win. She also reacted to her father Dharmendra’s kissing scene with Shabana Azmi in his recently released film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. The clip of the same caused a stir on internet.

While in conversation with Filmy Gyan, the actress said that she felt super shy while talking about her father’s intimate scene. She revealed that it was a surprise to her as nobody knew anything about it. However, Esha called it cute. She stated:

“No, we had no clue. That was a surprise for us. And they were so cute, and I mean they are professional actors. Come on.”

Though the actress has earlier disclosed that her dad was extremely strict and almost against her acting career, she has maintained that the iconic actor has always been a ‘hero’ for her and her sister Ahana Deol.

In the past, Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini too has shared their reaction to his kissing scene. While talking about it, the legendary actress said that she didn’t get the chance to see it. She said people must be loving him in the film, and shared that she is happy for her husband.

Furthermore, Hema expressed her wish to make a comeback in the films. When asked if she would be comfortable doing a kissing scene onscreen like Dharmendra, she quoted:

“Kyun ahi karenge, bilkul karenge, if it is nice if it is relatable and gels with the film, maybe I can.”

For the unversed, Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has gained love as well as minted money on box office. It has become one of the biggest hits of the year. Besides Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi, the movie also starred Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Jaya Bachchan.
