Abhishek Bachchan Slams Young Actors’s Obsession With Six-Packs, Says ‘Focus On Acting And Diction’

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan might not have an impressive film career, but his digital offerings have generated a separate fan base for him. Besides delivering power-packed performances, the actor believes in calling spade a spade. He doesn’t mince words on public platforms. Recently, Abhishek shared that actors of the present generation ‘upsets’ him as they are just obsessed with body building.

Abhishek shares his opinion on new age actors

In a latest interview with a leading daily, Jr Bachchan said that he gets disappointed when he sees actors’ working out in gym to achieve six-pack abs physique rather than focusing on their acting and diction.

The actor agreed that some roles require a good body. He said he would also work on it if the role demands. However, he stressed upon the fact building body doesn’t necessarily mean that one has to take out his shirt and flaunt abs.

Abhishek gave the example of his role of a cop in ‘Dhoom’. He said that though he had to be fit for the character, he was not the kind who’d show his six-pack abs. The ‘Guru’ actor slammed the new generation actors for believing that they can become actors just by getting six-pack abs. He advised them to focus on language and acting skills because that is what makes an actor.

Before Abhishek, Sunny Deol also spoke about how young actors concentrate more on building bodies than on acting.

For the unversed, Abhishek Bachchan is all set for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Ghoomer’. In the R. Balki directorial, Amitabh Bachchan will portray the role of a commentator. The film also stars Saiyami Kher, Shabana Azmi, and Angad Bedi. It will release on August 18, 2023.
