‘Ache Gane Ka Janaza Nikal Diya,’ Arjun Kapoor Trolled For New Song Inspired From Shahid Kapoor’s Dhan Te Nan!
Remakes and remixes of popular Bollywood songs has become a trend. Taking this forward, now the makers of upcoming film Kuttey are coming up with a new rebooted version of chartbuster ‘Dhan Te Nan’ from the 2009 movie Kaminey. While the original track featured Shahid Kapoor, the fresh one will have Arjun Kapoor along with other cast members namely Radhika Madan, Tabu, and Konkana Sen Sharma.
Recently, Arjun has shared the teaser of the upcoming song on his Instagram. Titled as ‘Phir Dhan Te Nan’, the track opens with Arjun, Tabu and Konkona looking uber cool while they walk their way into a dreary place. In the next frame, we see Radhika setting the floor on fire with her dance moves. In the caption, Arjun wrote, “Phir ek baar goonj uthegi parties, Phir hoga Dhan Te Nan.”
Though the creators are excited to bring ‘Phir Dhan Te Nan’ for audiences, seems like viewers are not much interested in it. In fact, a certain section of social media has already begun slamming makers for destroying an iconic song. A disappointed netizen said, “Bas kardo bas kardo manhoso kuch naya bana lo 😡😡 ache bhalay Ganay ka janaza nikal diya kuch naya nhi hai kya tum logo k pas 😡”.
Another fan mentioned, “Kuch bhee kar lo Shahid Kapoor jaisa nahi kar paoge they ruined one more song.”
A third one stated, “Kyun mery bachpan k music memory ki band bja rhy ho bhaii😕😕 remake py remake bs or kuch nhi aaj kal.”
Another unconvinced netizen wrote, “Another iconic song ruined .this is shahid kapoor banger.”
Let us tell you that ‘Phir Dhan Te Nan’ is not the first remake which is getting bashed online. In the recent past, singer Neha Kakkar reprised Falguni Pathak’s ‘Payal Hai Chhankai’. She received severe backlash for the same. Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria’s music video ‘Masakali 2.0’ also met the same fate.
Talking about Shahid’s ‘Dhan Te Nan’, the track is a famous party number even after a decade. The hook step of the iconic song is still afresh in the minds of fans.
