While the injury appeared to be minor, the actor was visibly bleeding from his finger. Despite the mishap, Arjun remained composed and was later seen smiling as host Maniesh Paul pointed out the injury. The actor, dressed in a black kurta and pyjama with a stole around his neck, carried on with the event as planned.
The incident quickly went viral, with fans taking to social media to share their reactions. Comments ranged from lighthearted humor to admiration, with one fan joking, “Keanu Reeves lite,” while another commented, “Ra-one mode activated,” referencing Arjun’s iconic film. Other fans speculated that he was attempting an entrance similar to Akshay Kumar’s famous style, while some even joked about the glass being more hurt than Arjun himself.
Arjun Rampal’s appearance at the event was to promote the second season of Rana Naidu, which will stream on Netflix. The series, an official adaptation of the American show Ray Donovan, stars Arjun alongside Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh, Surveen Chawla, and Kriti Kharbanda. It marks the first collaboration between Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh, who play an estranged father-son duo.
In the second season, Rana Naidu (played by Daggubati) is forced into one final job to secure his family’s future, only to find himself caught in a web of conflict with his loved ones and a dangerous figure from his past. In a recent statement, Daggubati teased that while the first season was relatively easy to shoot, the second season promises to be much messier and bloodier.
With Rana Naidu set to return for its second chapter, fans are eager to see how the stakes are raised in this thrilling drama.
