Actress Neeta Gupta’s Close Call With Death on Sets of Tele Serial- Find out What Happened
In a candid conversation with Kareena Kapoor, actress Neeta Gupta reveals a traumatic incident that almost killed her. The conversation came out on the release of Neeta Gupta’s memoir ‘ Sach Kaun Toh’.
Neeta Gupta reveals that she was actually saved by her daughter Masaba Gupta. The incident took place on the sets of tele serial ” The Sword Ki Tipu Sultan”. The sets of the serial hit the news during the initial shooting stages because of the fire that blasted on the sets.
The fire is rumoured to have taken the lives of nearly 40 people. Many recall this gory mishap as a ‘flame unstoppable’. The fire began during the shoot for the second episode of a wedding scene. As part of the scripted wedding celebrations, fire crackers were lit inside the room. The sparks from the firecrackers caught onto inflammable props on the set. Unfortunately, at the time there was no standby fireman to douse the fire.
Recalling the incident, Neeta Gupta says, “It was a traumatic experience. I reached my room. I picked up Masaba and I heard a blast. When I came out, I saw a Lightman coming towards me. He was on fire. I was looking at him. He called me to help. I remember I said, ‘how can I help when I have a child with me.’
The actress says she carried this incident without being able to fully understand the trauma from it till her memoir was written.
Masaba Gupta, Neena’s daughter was the only reason Neeta Gupta was spared from the flames. On a side note, the memoir is also said to share details of Actress Neena Gupta’s previous marriage and life. We hope that the actress continues to have lady luck on her side, as she continues to work in upcoming films.
