The actress of the film has received a lot of attention due to her film ‘The Kerala Story’. Recently, Adah Sharma has appeared on comedian Bharti Singh’s podcast which is posted on her YouTube channel. During this conversation with Bharti, the actress openly talked about the difficulties she faced during filmmaking. The actress told how the film had to face criticism even before its release. While talking about this, the actress said that there was no premiere of the film, and many interviews related to it were also canceled at the last moment.

The actress further said that a lot of restrictions were also imposed on the promotion of the film, under which permission was not given to put up hoardings and posters in many areas which led to a lot of PR difficulties for us. However, despite facing all the restrictions and difficulties the film achieved great success and earned around 300 crores at the box office.

While talking on Bharti’s YouTube channel Bharti TV, the actress said, “When doing The Kerala Story, I did not think we were doing something political. I thought it was a girl’s story and it was about the ISS. These people are making girls suicide bombers and we are all against terrorists. The film was about that.” The actress said about the criticism the film received before its release that despite this, the film broke all records and became one of the highest-grossing films.
