One of the most gifted actors in the entertainment industry is Aditya Roy Kapur. He began his career in movies in 2009, but great success came after he appeared in the Shraddha Kapoor-starring 2011 movie Aashiqui 2. Following that, he made other film appearances, including those in Malang: Unleash the Madness, Ok Jaanu, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Daawat-e-Ishq, Action Replayy, and other films.

With each of his parts, he demonstrated his acting prowess. Aditya has a sizable fan base as well. He will then appear in Rashtra Kavach OM, a pure action movie. In addition to this, he will appear in a remake of Night Manager for a web series.

Aditya recently explained the differences between working in OTT shows and movie in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla. He said, “It is different in a way. It’s great for an actor because you get more time with the character. In a film, you have 2 or 2 and half hours while in series, you by virtue of having to be over it by 7-8 hours and you get more time to live the character… That is also satisfying.

He further said, “Acting is acting, you don’t have to act any different for television than you act for the big screen. It’s just in films you have limited time to get a lot done in while in series, you are able to stay in that character for long.”

Aditya talked openly about his industry peers and whether he ever felt competitive. Aditya said, “I really feel inspired when I see their performances…as an actor the first window for me was watching great performances onscreen and realising what is possible and just loving different actors’ work. So once you become an actor, there is no reason for you to stop….I love watching movies. I am a film bluff… So, when any of your contemporaries does a great work it is inspiring and it does light a fire under you to want to do more.”

He further added, “In a way, you can call it competitiveness but it’s not with them. It’s like they get you excited to do more and be better version of you.”
