Aditya Roy Kapur opens on being objectified by his fans
During a recent interaction, Bollywood star, Aditya Roy Kapur addressed about the objectification he experienced during his professional career start. The host asked him whether the maintaining of a well-shaped body structure takes a toll on him. Responding to it, the actor shared it is not always the diet as he likes to much everything.
Further, Aditya was asked if he ever felt objectified by his fans. To this, he stated: “No objection taken at all.” Further, Aditya mentioned that this is a part of his job. Thus, he doesn’t take the objectification to his heart.
Aditya recalls how he kick-started his career by going shirtless
In the same interaction, the actor recalled how he was objectified by his fans during the start of his career. Elaborating more about it, he revealed that he entered the entertainment industry as a VJ for Channel V. He recalled getting objectified for shooting his first promo shirtless. In his words:
“I started off as a VJ with Channel V and I was well into being objectified. My first promo introducing VJ Aditya was me taking my shirt off at Agonda Beach in Goa. So that has been happening since the start of my career. I mean it’s a part of it. It’s a visual medium and if one can tick that box then it’s a good thing.”
