Esha Verma, the stepdaughter of television actress Rupali Ganguly, has addressed recent public comments and videos she shared about her family, providing clarification and stating that it would be her “final statement” on the matter.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Esha expressed her distress over a ₹50 crore defamation notice sent to her by Rupali. She called the legal action “disturbing, cruel, and revealing of their true character.” Esha also criticised her father, Ashwin Verma, for his role in the ongoing situation. She was particularly adamant about clarifying her relationship with her half-brother, Rudransh, stating that she had “never involved a minor” in her public statements.

Earlier this month, Esha made the difficult decision to share her personal experiences and childhood struggles with her father. In a long post, she explained how the decision to speak out was both challenging and liberating. “Speaking up was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it brought clarity, peace, and liberation from years of silence,” she wrote. She emphasized that her goal was never to cause harm but to shed light on her personal experiences, particularly within her family dynamic, and to give voice to others who might be facing similar issues.

Esha also spoke about the emotional toll she faced, recalling an incident from 2017 when she was criticized for her appearance during a photoshoot in Mumbai. “The comments made about my appearance deeply affected my self-esteem, but I’ve worked hard to rebuild and grow from that experience,” she said. Esha encouraged others to embrace their unique features and celebrate their individuality.

Regarding the mention of her half-brother Rudransh, Esha clarified that her statements were never intended to involve him. She explained that she only shared information she had personally learned about her family and did not consent to any media interpretations of her words.

After posting her original statement, Esha chose to archive it after 48 hours and deactivate certain social media platforms, explaining that it was a step taken to protect her peace and well-being. She confirmed that she would not be participating in further interviews or discussions on the matter. “This will be my final statement on this matter. The purpose of this statement is solely to clarify misconceptions,” she said.

Esha concluded her message by focusing on healing and moving forward with her life. She expressed gratitude for the support of her loved ones and shared her intention to embrace the next chapter with peace, authenticity, and dignity.
