Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi has faced a tough time after his girlfriend and actress Jiah Khan AKA Nafisa Khan committed suicide in June 2013. The late actress’ mother Rabia Khan accused the ‘Satellite Shankar’ actor of abetment of suicide. After fighting for almost a decade, Sooraj got acquitted from all the charges in April, 2023. Now, he is slowly coming to terms with a normal life and is trying to re-establish his career. In a recent interview, the actor confessed being in a steady relationship from past 7 years.

Sooraj gets candid about his love life

Talking about his personal life with The Times Of India, Sooraj said that his love affair with Jiah was probably the shortest relationship he has ever had. He further revealed that he is dating someone for seven years now and it is something beautiful. The actor added, “There’s nothing in the world that can match up to the feeling being in love, being taken care of, and doing the same for the other person.”

Shared the reason for staying tight-lipped on his relationship over all these years, Sooraj said that he was respecting his girl’s family. He stated, “We have been through a lot. However, they only cared about TRPs. There were times when I was in the court and things were going in my favour. But journalists never chose to write the positive story for me.”

Sooraj on his jail ordeals

Earlier in 2019, the actor had opened up on going through the worst phase of his life after the death of his late girlfriend Jiah. He spoke on the struggles he faced inside the jail. Sooraj had recalled how he felt completely numb after being put in the most secluded ‘Anda cell’ at the Arthur Road jail. He had no contact with anyone and didn’t even get newspapers there. At that point, all that he kept thinking was that he had lost someone who he loved.

While the identity of Sooraj’s girlfriend has not come to the fore, he was spotted with the same girl multiple times since 2017. He has also been linked to Amy Jackson and Elli Evram after Jiah Khan’s suicide.
