After Listening To The Poem Of Vir Das, Kangana Ranaut Said, “Such Work Is No Less Than Terrorism, Strict Action Should Be Taken”

Comedian Vir Das has been embroiled in controversies due to one of his statements on the condition of women in India. Although he issued a statement apologizing, actress Kangana Ranaut expressed her displeasure at Vir Das and demanded action against him. Kangana has shared a long post on her Insta story in which she has compared Vir Das’s work to terrorism.

Kangana wrote – When you generalize all Indian men as gang-rapists it promotes racism against Indians across the world… Churchill’s thoughts on helping during the famine in Bengal During the discussion, it was said that any help for India will be insufficient because Indians produce babies like rabbits. They are bound to die like this. He blamed the fertility of Indians for the death of lakhs of people due to hunger…Such a constructive act targeting the entire cast is nothing short of terrorism…Strict action should be taken against such criminals @virdas.”

At the same time, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal said in support of Vir Das that, “Vir Das, there is no doubt that there are really two Indias here. We just don’t want any Indian who tells the world about it. We are intolerant and hypocritical.” Apart from this, screenwriter Apoorva Asrani wrote, “I do not agree much with what Vir Das said in his To India speech. Nor do I agree with Kangana’s views on India’s independence. But I do not want to ban or harass anyone. I also disagree. If our truth is strong, we can listen, debate, and move on. No democracy quells dissent.”

In the six-minute video, Das talked about the dual character of the country. In this video clip, Vir Das says, ‘I come from an India where women are worshiped during the day and raped at night. I come from India where you are AQ1 9000 yet we lie on our roofs and count the stars at night. I come from India where we take pride in being vegetarians but hurt the same farmers.”
