AI Chooses This Indian Actor Among Other Stars As Lead In James Bond; Check Out List

Since Daniel Craig announced his departure from the James Bond franchise, speculation about who will step into the iconic 007 role has been rife. Traditionally portrayed by white British men, changing times have sparked discussions about casting a more diverse actor—or even a woman—as the next superspy. As the Broccoli family, producers of the Bond films, continue their search, AI chatbot ChatGPT has joined the debate to offer its picks for the coveted role.

ChatGPT’s top choice for James Bond is Henry Cavill, known for his roles in Superman and The Witcher. According to the AI, Cavill has “the looks, charm, and physicality required for Bond.” It noted that Cavill previously auditioned for the role before Daniel Craig’s casting and is favouritevorite, further bolstered by his performance as a suave spy in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Second on the list is Tom Hardy. Famous for his gritty roles in Mad Max: Fury Road and Venom, Hardy could bring “a rugged intensity and charisma” to redefine Bond as a darker, edgier character, said ChatGPT.

Richard Madden, celebrated for his performance in Bodyguard, also emerged as a strong contender. His ability to portray a “suave yet tough operative” makes him a natural fit for 007, according to the AI.

Rounding out ChatGPT’s top five are two actors ocolouror: Idris Elba and Rege-Jean Page. While Elba’s age might be a factor, his “sophistication, commanding presence, and action credentials” keep him in the running. Page, the breakout star of Bridgerton, is noted for his “suave, charismatic presence,” which could bring a fresh, modern energy to the franchise. Other names suggested by ChatGPT include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton, Cillian Murphy, Luke Evans, and Sam Heughan.

Could James Bond Be Indian?

ChatGPT also entertained the idea of an Indian actor stepping into Bond’s tuxedo. “Casting an Indian actor would be a bold move, requiring an updated backstory to reflect a new cultural identity,” the AI noted. However, it argued that Bond’s core traits—wit, sophistication, and dedication—are universal and could transcend racial boundaries.

Its top pick among Indian stars is Hrithik Roshan, whom it described as having the “charisma, polished look, and action experience” to excel as Bond. Other Bollywood names mentioned include Shahid Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Vijay Deverakonda, and Aditya Roy Kapur.

As fans eagerly await the next Bond announcement, the debate over the franchise’s future remains as thrilling as any of its films.
