There is a ruckus about comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ on social media these days. The problems of the makers of Samay’s show are increasing with each passing day. There has been a demand from across India to ban the show due to Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial comments. At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has also talked about raising this issue in the Parliament and now, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has strongly condemned YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments.

AICWA has demanded a ban on the show along with legal action against those involved in the controversy. Let us tell you that the AICWA said that Allahbadia’s comments were objectionable and against ‘social and family values’. The association has also asked the Indian film industry to boycott those involved in the show. The AICWA wrote, ‘The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly condemns the reprehensible and objectionable comments made on Samay Raina’s YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’.’

AICWA further said, ‘In a recent episode, guest Ranveer Allahbadia, who appeared on the show, said a lot of things that are being criticized, which are extremely offensive to our social and family values. Such offensive content is completely unacceptable and poses a threat to the moral fabric of our society. Representing the entire Indian film industry, AICWA officially boycotts India’s Got Latent. We call on all actors, filmmakers, directors, and technicians to immediately stop any association with the people involved in the show, including hosts Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia.’

AICWA further said, ‘From now on, these people will not get any support from the Indian film industry. We demand a complete ban on ‘India’s Got Latent’, strict legal action against Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, FIR against all responsible persons, and steps to prevent similar incidents.’ Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also tweeted, ‘Any abusive language that crosses the line in the name of comedy content is not acceptable. Just because you get a platform does not mean you can say anything. He is a person who has millions of subscribers, every political person is sitting on his podcast. The PM has given him an award… As a member of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, I will raise this issue.’
