Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan, stars of the highly awaited historical drama Ponniyin Selvan I, flew to Delhi for a press conference together with the rest of the ensemble. The stars are touring the nation for several Ponniyin Selvan I pre-release events as the marketing for Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus is in full gear.

Aishwarya and Trisha dressed exquisitely traditionally for the press conference. Aishwarya opted for a royal blue anarkali with gold embroidery, but Trisha stunned in a gorgeous white saree and strapless blouse. You will adore the classic avatars that have gained popularity online.

Aishwarya, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi were seen posing inside of an airport shuttle bus with Trisha before they boarded their trip to Delhi. Soon after the Delhi function, images and videos of Aishwarya and Trisha wearing stunning traditional outfits—an anarkali and saree—started making the rounds on social media. View the photos of Aishwarya and Trisha below.

Aishwarya chose a dark blue anarkali with intricately embroidered gold embellishments to complete her ethnic outfit. It has a fitted breast and flared skirt with an ankle-length hemline, a square neckline, full-length sleeves, sequined embellishments, and patti work on the trims. She added a matching, ornate dupatta to complete the look.

Aishwarya accessorized the look simply with elaborate jhumkas, embroidered block heels in the Kolhapuri style, and a statement ring. Last but not least, she went for center-parted open hair, sleek eyeliner, mascara on the lashes, pink lip color, tiny bindi, flushed cheeks, and contouring to draw attention to her features.

While wearing a simple yet elegant white saree embellished with sequins and mirror work embroidery in elaborate designs, Trisha Krishnan dominated the stage at the event. The actor from Ponniyin Selvan I finished the ensemble with a strappy embroidered blouse while donning the six yards in a traditional manner.

Trisha’s final glam options were a bold red lip colour, kohl-lined eyes, mascara on the lashes, a delicate bindi, flushed cheeks, on-trend brows, and center-parted open hair. She enhanced her ethnic style with spectacular jewellery, strappy gold shoes, and jhumkis embellished with rubies.
