Actor Akshay Kumar often grabs the headlines either for his films or any remark made by him. Currently, he is in the news for his latest movie, Selfiee that failed to do wonders at the box office. The Sooryavanshi actor faced a lot of criticism for his question about mangoes to Modi. In an interview, Akshay reacting to the backlash said, when he went to interview he was a common man and that time it was the season of mangoes. So, he asked certain questions that common men would have asked to somebody who they admire or adore.

Akshay also added he didn’t think that the question will be right or wrong. He also added that neither the PM nor anyone from the PM office had asked him what to ask and what not. They told him to ask whatever comes to his mind and he did so. Akki also said that PM Modi has a good sense of humour.

Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee Box Office

Akshay Kumar’s film Selfiee released recently in theatres. It also starred Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharucha, and Diana Penty. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film collected only Rs 3 crore at the box office on Day 1.

It is said to be Akshay’s lowest opener in over a decade. Last year, Kumar saw four consecutive flops that include-Bachchhan Paandey, Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu. All these films released in theatres. He also had a digital release, Cuttputlli.

On the work front, he will be seen in OMG 2, Capsule Gill, Bade Miya Chote Miyan and Soorarai Pootru Hindi rename.
