Akshay Kumar Left Bigg Boss 18 Finale, Actor Says Because Salman Khan Was Late To Arrive By ’30-40 Minutes’
The 18th season of Bigg Boss concluded over the weekend, with Karanveer Mehra emerging as the winner. However, the highly anticipated finale was overshadowed by speculation regarding Salman Khan’s tardiness, which caused Akshay Kumar to leave the set before filming his scheduled promotional segment for his upcoming film Sky Force.
Akshay, along with co-star Veer Pahariya, was supposed to shoot a segment promoting Sky Force with Salman, but reports revealed that Salman arrived significantly late. Initially, it was suggested that Salman was delayed by several hours, but Akshay clarified the situation at a recent press conference in New Delhi. He explained that while Salman’s delay wasn’t excessive, it was enough to disrupt his plans due to prior commitments.
“I had reached on time, but Salman came a bit late because of personal work. He explained that he was delayed by about 35 to 40 minutes. I waited, but then I had to leave due to other commitments. Veer was there, so he shot with Salman,” Akshay told the media.
Known for his punctuality, Akshay has a reputation for being on time, a quality that contrasts with Salman’s more relaxed approach. Filmmaker Anees Bazmee, who has worked with both stars, once commented, “Akshay is always on time. If he says we’re starting at 7 am, he’s there. Salman, on the other hand, usually arrives around 1 pm and stays till the end of the day.”
Sources close to the event revealed that Akshay had arrived on set at the scheduled time, around 2:15 PM. However, Salman had not yet arrived, and after waiting for about an hour, Akshay left without filming. Salman, reportedly, had a trial screening of Jolly LLB 3 on his schedule.
Sky Force, directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, is a historical war drama based on India’s retaliatory airstrike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur. It is set to release on Friday.
