Ever since Bigg Boss 16 aired, there has been a constant stir on social media regarding filmmaker Sajid Khan’s participation in it. Many people are asking makers to eliminate him from the show as he has been accused by multiple women of sexual harassment during the MeToo wave in India. The latest to join the protest against Khan’s presence in Bigg Boss house is Ali Fazal.
Fazal has become the first mainstream actor to voice his opinion on this issue and demand Sajid’s ouster from India’s biggest reality TV show. On Monday evening, Ali took to his Instagram stories to share a graphic of Sajid’s photo being lit on fire by a person who has #MeToo written on her arm. In the caption, the 3 Idiots actor wrote, “Evict Sajid Khan from Bigg Boss now.”
In the recent past, many known personalities like Sona Mohapatra, Tanushree Dutta, Uorfi Javed, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, etc. have come out to show their anger against makers of Bigg Boss for signing Sajid. Not just them, Delhi Commission for Women chief, Swati Maliwal raised her voice too against this move by a reputed channel. The alleged victims of Sajid, Sherlyn Chopra and Mandana Karimi have also showed their disappointment over Sajid becoming a part of Bigg Boss.
For the unversed, Sajid Khan was banned by the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) after being accused with charges of sexual molestation. He is now eyeing for a comeback with a film titled 100%, starring John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Nora Fatehi and Shehnaaz Gill.
