Recently, she got under the radar of trollers who accused her of copying Deepika Padukone’s dress.
Alia’s latest photoshoot spark debate
A fan of Deepika has shared an adjacently placed picture of Alia and Deepika on social media. In this photo, both the actresses are seen in the same striking neon green tulle dress. While Alia’s picture is from her latest cover page photoshoot for a magazine, Deepika’s photo is from her Cannes 2019 Film Festival look.
Alongside the image, the fan wrote, “Alia bhatt is never beating the ‘she’s trying to be Deepika Padukone’ allegations I am afraid and we’re here for it”
Soon after, a debate between Alia and Deepika fans ignited. A user replied to Deepika’s fan post and stated, “Color has also been stolen, now who is insecure?” Another said, “How hard she tries, but she can never beat DP.”
Defending Alia, a fan shared an old snap of the actress wearing a similarly designed dress. Her tweet read, “She likes tulle dress, she wore this way back in 2018, technically, this style isn’t new for her….like y’all are weird….both ladies look stunning.” Another added, “You people just wake up to say Alia this Alia that and go to sleep?”
For the unversed, this is not the first time that Alia has been alleged of copying Deepika’s outfit. She was slammed for her debut MET Gala look which involved usage of pearls. Netizens were quick to point out that Alia has stolen Deepika’s style for the event.
