Bollywood couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor make for one of the most powerful duos of the industry. The adorable pair often sets the bar high with their mushy glimpses. However, there have been multiple incidences where social media was not quite impressed with Alia revealing Ranbir’s behaviour towards her.
Recently, a debate ignited online after Alia revealed that whenever Ranbir sees her with a bold lip colour, he tells her to wipe it off and that he loves the natural color of her lips. While some found it ‘couple things’, others got irked at the actress obliging to her husband’s makeup preference despite being an independent lady. Though Alia has not hit back at trolls directly, she has now liked a post which mentioned that Ranbir Kapoor isn’t a misogynist, indicating her stance on the entire matter.
A fan page of Ranbir has shared a long note defending the actor. In the post, the ardent admirer has called Ranbir a kind partner and not rude to his partners. Soon after, a Reddit user shared the screenshot of the post along with Alia’s reaction and there began a discussion on the platform regarding the actress’ take on lipstick issue. One user wrote, “Being delusional is the only solution.” Another joked, “Main bata rhi hun ye Alia ne thud likha hai.” A third one penned, “Alia is doing to Ranbir what Karan did to Alia.”
On the other hand, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan has dropped a cryptic note amidst all the backlash her son-in-law is receiving. Taking to her IG stories, the veteran actress talked about the cancel culture and called it ‘idiotic’. She stated that we are living in funny times where people decide for other people what is wrong with their lives. And then everyone jumps into some discussion or the other about things that actually have nothing to do with them.
Reacting to her write-up, a user said, “Them being defensive isn’t helping the drama around Ranbir.” Another stated, “Says the one who married Mahesh Bhatt…Insert Mahesh Dalle.”
For the unversed, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14, 2023 in a lowkey ceremony. They were blessed with a daughter, Raha Kapoor on November 6, 2023. The duo has worked together in Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra’.
